We are looking for a regulatory reporting Analyst to join our Firmwide Regulatory Reporting & Analysis (FRRA) team, which oversees U.S. Regulatory Reporting processes and promotes strategic initiatives in external reporting.
As a Regulatory Reporting Analyst within the Firmwide Regulatory Reporting & Analysis (FRRA) team, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and execution of end-to-end processes supporting U.S. Regulatory Reporting. You will have the opportunity to enhance controls and efficiency in financial reporting processes, participate in firm-wide projects, and work with complex reporting methodologies. This role offers a dynamic and challenging environment where you can apply your analytical skills and technical expertise to deliver high-quality results.
Job responsibilities:
- End-to-end production of FR Y-15 / GSIB Reporting for JPMorgan Chase & Co. which is filed quarterly with the Federal Reserve Bank.
- Understanding complex reporting methodologies for all balances reported and performing analysis of balances collected through the production process, align facts, logic and context with applicable teams (e.g. LOB, Capital Management, ACC, FERC etc.)
- Enhance the controls and efficiency of financial reporting processes which may include the identification and resolution of issues/errors, tracking and resolution of data quality issues and implementing process improvements to reduce cycle time.
- Maintain familiarity with accounting pronouncements and disclosure requirements. Participate in firm wide project groups to implement changes in reporting requirements
- Work extended hours during peak periods including some weekends
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- 1+ years total relevant work experience in External Reporting (FR Y-15, Y-9C, FFIEC 031, etc.)
- Demonstrable understanding of financial statements and financial disclosures required
- Bachelors Degree required
- Coordinate multiple aspects of the production and review of quarterly and annual reports filed with the FRB.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Comfortable working with large quantities of data, including strong reconciliation and process management experience
- Strong technical skills in Excel
- Strong analytical skills in interpretation of data and identification of anomalies
- Independent worker who is self-motivated; comfortable working independently in a dynamic and challenging environment
- Results-oriented / delivery focused; ability to deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills -
- Accounting or Finance degree preferred
- Accounting or banking industry experience preferred
- Familiarity with US Banking regulatory reporting requirements a plus
- Experience using data management & visualization tools in a reporting setting: AWS Databricks, Alteryx, SQL, Tableau, Visio, database experience a plus
- CPA / Big 4 Experience a plus
