Job Summary
Anytime Fitness — a multi-unit owner/operator of Anytime Fitness locations across Michigan is seeking a dynamic, creative, and execution-driven Marketing & Social Media Specialist. This role will oversee all marketing efforts for the organization, including digital strategy, community engagement, content creation, lead generation, and campaign execution to support membership growth, brand awareness, training/nutrition/recovery services, and other related tasks.
The ideal candidate will be both a marketing strategist and a doer, someone with the ability to plan, create, publish, and track performance while managing all digital and physical brand touchpoints across our growing fitness enterprise. This position offers the opportunity to make a measurable impact while working in a fast-paced, collaborative, and health-focused culture.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media Management
Manage our presence across Instagram, Facebook, Google My Business, Yelp, LinkedIn, and emerging social media platforms.
Create and schedule both original (organic content from in-club) and franchisor-provided branded content including posts, reels, stories, and videos to promote key offerings such as training, membership, nutrition, recovery, grand openings, flash sales, grand re-openings, and special events.
Create automations to engage with followers and respond to all DMs, tags, comments, reviews, and mentions in a timely, professional, brand-aligned manner.
Maintain a consistent brand voice, tone, and design across all platforms.
Digital Marketing & Lead Generation
Manage Google PPC ad campaigns, keywords, retargeting, and performance tracking.
Create, optimize, and track Facebook and Instagram ad boosts for lead generation and local engagement as well as emerging platforms (if any).
Collaborate with managers and group sales teams to execute national and local marketing campaigns across company locations.
Report weekly and monthly on campaign KPIs (click-throughs, conversions, CPL, CPA, etc.).
Manage GEO initiatives and Google FAQs to enhance local search visibility and lead gen.
Monitor lead quality and cost per lead to optimize ad spend.
Website & Content Management
Maintain and update “editable” sections of the website for specific location pages, including amenities, photos, links, promotions, and announcements.
Ensure content is optimized for SEO, reflects accurate services, and supports current promotions or events.
Promotions, Print, and In-Club Marketing
Edit flyers and graphics using the Anytime Fitness Brand Marketing Center (flyers, banners, signage, and branded print materials) and process orders for delivery through our vendor.
Maintain promotional calendars and toolkits for major events such as New Year campaigns, Back to School, and Summer Fitness.
Ensure brand standards are upheld across all printed and in-club marketing materials.
Community Engagement & Events
Plan, promote, and coordinate local events such as fitness challenges, open houses, charity workouts, and Lunch & Learns.
Identify and pursue local partnerships (e.g., schools, small businesses, medical offices) to expand brand visibility.
Support the Group Sales team with digital assets, outreach scripts, and promotional collateral.
Track ROI and participation rates from events to guide future engagement strategies.
National & Franchise Marketing Integration
Align local marketing strategy with corporate initiatives and national campaigns.
Attend webinars and marketing calls to stay updated on brand direction and tools.
Customize national toolkits to reflect Anytime Fitness branding and operational goals.
Manage and maintain a company marketing calendar and ensure marketing efforts are rolled out at the local level by team members for national and local promotions.
Set marketing goals and targets for annual, monthly and specific promotions.
Coordinate with managers with additional local promotions in addition to national promotions.

Requirements
Job Requirements
Successful experience in marketing, preferably in retail, fitness, or multi-unit operations.
Strong grasp of social media platforms, digital advertising, and tech savvy.
Proven success managing PPC, Facebook/IG ads, and social media strategies.
Experience with online reputation management (Yelp, Google Reviews, etc.)
Event marketing or local community engagement background is highly valued.
Self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills.
Strong written communication skills and a confident, professional demeanor.
Passion for health, wellness, and fitness is a major plus.
