Oracle Generative AI Code Assist Service is an exciting team in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. We are delivering innovative services at the intersection of artificial intelligence and cloud infrastructure. Oracle Code Assist (OCA) is an AI-driven coding assistant used by developers to boost their productivity and code quality by generating/annotating/explaining code, generating unit tests and documentation as well as fixes code errors. In Generative AI Code Assist Service team, you will build and operate cloud services maximizing state of art generative AI technologies. We are committed to providing the best in cloud products to meet the needs of our customers who are tackling some of the world’s most challenging problems.

As a Consulting Member of Technical Staff in Generative AI Code Assist Service team, you will be leading the effort of building distributed, scalable, high-performance generative AI service in partnership with our applied scientists and software engineers. You will investigate model structure to optimize model performance and scalability. You will build state of art systems with innovative technologies in this fast evolving area. You will be a chief technical leader who provides direction and mentors engineers to work on mission-critical projects impacting Oracle’s AI strategy. You have the ability to recommend and justify changes to new and existing products and establish consensus with data-driven approaches.

 

 

 

This role is ideally suited to someone with a Bachelor’s degree or Masters or PhD conversion in a software-related subject (or equivalent experience) and at least 10+ years experience in production-grade distributed systems and cloud-native software engineering.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS degree in Computer Science
  • 10+ years experience in production-grade distributed systems and cloud-native software engineering in developing distributed, fault tolerant, scalable applications.
  • Proficiency in Go, Java, Python, or C++.
  • Proficient understanding of Continuous Integration and deployment and tools chain like GIT, Maven, Jenkins/Teamcity, etc.
  • Deep understanding of container orchestration and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Solid knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, networking, and distributed systems fundamentals.
  • Strong communication skills and experience mentoring across teams. Written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear, concise manner to all audiences
  • Systematic problem-solving approach, strong communication skills, a sense of ownership and drive.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, proven track record in mentoring and leading junior engineers 

Preferred Qualifications

  • MS or PhD in Computer Science
  • Familiarity with agent-based systems.
  • Experience with vector databases, tool APIs, and event-driven workflows
  • Proven ability to lead large-scale architecture efforts

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $96,800 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
