This EPM Technology Manager position is responsible for managing business operations and resources of a given practice that can be defined by industry, service line, technology center, specialty area or region. Responsible for managing the three main pillars of a practice: people management, portfolio/delivery management and sales enablement. Has profit and loss responsibility or financial/expense management of practice.
Accountable for operational/financial metrics and overall business results of practice. Responsible for maintaining strategic direction, ensuring profitable growth of the practice, quality of consulting delivery, and maintaining customer referenceability. Develops strategy and plans to successfully implement operational policies and achieve business objectives. Accountable for managing and growing a significant revenue stream and customer base. Typically manages multiple first line managers and/or senior level individual contributors. Resolves staffing issue in complex engagements. May serve as advisor or project sponsor role for moderately complex engagements.
10+ years of experience relevant to this position including 5 years of consulting experience and 2 years of project management leadership experience. Direct line Management experience including project, people, customer, financial management preferred. Product, technology or industry expertise relevant to the practice focus. Ability to develop and maintain relationships at the executive level. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience. Ability to travel as needed.

We’re looking for a EPM Technology Manager to join our EPM team, the heartbeat of the Cloud Suite! A EPM Technology Manager / leader, with very solid experience managing multi-disciplinary consulting teams; Someone who will be able to delight our customers by designing and executing next generation solutions that focus on insight, control, automation and agility.
Profile includes a fundamental trifecta: product design oversight, people management and stakeholder impact. It’s key you are highly adaptive; a person ready to facilitate, inspire or lead, no matter the project or the people. While you’re not expected to produce design artifacts you need to speak the language of modern software design. On top of being a hands-on collaborative leader and mentor, you have the following attributes:
- You have a strong balance of design strategy and analysis – you are able to understand business aspirations and how to purpose your design team to deliver against it, as much production expertise like UI technologies and Design Systems.
- You understand that great design includes delivery and why shipping is what makes it count.
- You are able to lead and mentor team members while maintaining an equal and collaborative work environment.
- You can structure and scale teams against priorities and future expansion needs.
- You are a Design Thinking advocate and practitioner who can help the team getting to always-evolving innovative solutions.
- You have a keen eye for designing for simplicity and the ability to instill it.
- You are a low-ego relationship builder, capable of working with other roles to transform the space surrounding the team.
- A master storyteller, terrific communicator, and a fan of face-to-face conversations.

- You have the technical UX expertise necessary to be able to be the senior point of contact for UX implementation issues.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Lead a team of around 20 people including design management.
- Understand the product strategy and outline a plan for your team success.
- Manage and prioritize multiple projects of varying timelines, degrees of complexity and scope; Define packages of design work and ensuring on-time hand-offs within a portfolio of projects.
- Facilitate collaborative working through proactive communication and short feedback loops.
- Partner with Business and Engineering for accurate planning and smart execution; Manage stakeholders by providing updates of on-going initiatives and make business-changing recommendations.
- Provide guidance on design process, design feedback and support.
- Nurture career development and promoting a healthy work environment.
- Leading hiring process for sourcing, acquiring, and onboarding nw employees.
- Lead, motivate and challenge team members by helping defining objectives and frequently providing feedback.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS
- At least 4 years of experience in a senior management and leadership role;
- Experience recruiting, hiring, and training great talent;
- Highly organized, self-starter who works well with ambiguity, and is comfortable managing multiple complex projects in an energetic fast-paced environment.
- A portfolio of design work - executed by yourself or a team that you led - that demonstrates an ability to design and ship successful products that solve real needs;
- Experience with lean UX, agile methodologies, and helping teams be effective applying them to different team dynamics.
- Sound understanding of spread-out product ecosystems and commitment with organizational best-practices;
- Experience partnering with Product Management and Engineering to work and implement trifecta models.
- Flexibility to work with geographically distributed teams.
- Experience working in Agile Development methodology
- ERP / Enterprise software design experience is a plus.
