Job HighlightsContract: Independent Contractor
Schedule: Monday-Friday; 8:00AM-5:00PM Ontario Time
Responsibilities:
- Own the preparation of weekly, monthly, and quarterly Financial Analysis reports as well as contribute to building presentations for the executive team and board of directors.
- Build corporate dashboards with key company data and visuals for leaders of the company to use for collaborative analysis and decision-making.
- Develop and manage various reports using software platforms including but not limited to Tableau and QuickBooks.
- Support the annual budgeting and on-going forecasting processes.
- Actively identify opportunities aimed at driving efficiencies, automating processes, and developing best practices.
- Work with accounting to validate monthly figures and provide support in the period-end closing process.
- Represent finance on project teams related to the development or sourcing of data for reporting purposes.
- Gather and analyze large amounts of data at a macro and micro level
Requirements
- Have your Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or Economics
- Ideally 5 years work experience in a similar role
- CPA/CFA designated or close to attaining is strongly preferred
- Database (SQL), VBA, or other programming knowledge considered an asset
- Strong analytical mind and a keen interest in conducting research, interpreting data, and translating to insights for various audiences
- Must have comfort with ambiguity, fast-paced environment, and be a self-starter
- Problem-solving mindset
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work with multiple cross functional business partner
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
