We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Sr. Associate to join our finance team to join our Finance team. This role is located in New York, NY.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Prepare, analyze, and refine annual budgets and forecasts in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Financial Analysis: Perform deep dives into financial performance, identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for cost optimization and revenue enhancement.
- Reporting: Develop and present accurate and insightful financial reports for management, investors, and other stakeholders.
- Data Modeling: Build and manage financial models to support strategic planning and decision-making.
- Strategic Support: Work closely with the leadership team to evaluate business opportunities, conduct scenario analyses, and assess the financial impact of potential initiatives.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for enhanced efficiency in FP&A processes and implement solutions to streamline workflows.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- A Master’s degree or CPA/CFA certification is a plus.
- 2-4 years of relevant experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or accounting. Experience in a high-growth environment is advantageous.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and Excel.
- Familiarity with financial software such as SAP, Oracle, or Tableau is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and translate it into actionable insights.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration and presentation.
- A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail in all work products.

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $58,000 and $120,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
