Facility Maintenance Specialist 1 - PN 20057196 - Garfield Hts., Cuyahoga County
What You Will Do:
General to complex facility maintenance to include drywall repairs, plumbing repairs, electrical repairs, HVAC repairs, painting, landscaping, and general upkeep.
work with a team to accomplish projects
Communicate with team members, supervisors, and employees within the district regarding facility maintenance and repairs

Qualifications
Successful completion of post-secondary training in facilities maintenance technology, industrial trades technology, or comparable training program; 1 yr. exp. in construction/building maintenance that included carpentry, electrical, plumbing & HVAC. Note: If the position will be assigned to operate motorized equipment of size & type regulated by Sections 4506.1, 4506.03 & 4506.12 of Ohio Revised Code, the applicant must also have a valid commercial driver license; if required to operate state vehicle must have valid driver license.

The selection process for this position will include a structured interview. Candidate responses to the interview questions will be scored and the selection will be made in accordance with the OCSEA/AFSCME Contract.
All bargaining unit and exempt new hires to ODOT must serve a one-year probationary period.
This position is overtime eligible per FLSA Standards.
If this position is filled internally, the wage rate will be determined in accordance with the contract.
