Triage Counselor, Emergency Psych Triage - Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center & Children's Hospital, Spokane WA

The Emergency Psychiatric Counselor functions under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse to provide psychiatric triage for selected patients. S/he is expected to demonstrate an advanced understanding of contemporary psychosocial principles in relation to his/her area of responsibility. Following orientation and defined training programs, satisfactorily performs skills as defined by departmental policy and orientation procedure. Implements selected patient care activities in collaboration with other team members.

Shift Details:

Part time, 32 hours per week, 8 - hour evening shift

Required qualifications:

Upon hire: Washington Clinical Independent Social Worker License Or
Upon hire: Washington Clinical Independent Social Worker Associate License Or
Upon hire: Washington Advanced Social Worker License Or
Upon hire: Washington Advanced Social Worker Associate License Or
Upon hire: Washington Marriage and Family Therapist License Or
Upon hire: Washington Mental Health Counselor License Or
Upon hire: Washington Behavioral Analyst License (Vendor Managed) Or
Upon hire: Washington Washington Agency Affiliated Counselor Registration O
Upon hire: Washington Washington Agency Affiliated Counselor Certification Or
Upon hire: Washington Washington Agency Affiliated Counselor License
1 year of Psychiatric experience.

Preferred qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Psychology or related Human Services Or Education requirement may be waived in the case of an applicant demonstrating exceptional relevant clinical experience.
