Work Schedule:

  • Regular Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM

  • Initial Training Period (First 30 Days): 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Job Summary:
The Scheduler is responsible for accurately and efficiently scheduling surgical procedures, diagnostic tests, therapy sessions, and other medical appointments. This role may involve gathering necessary documentation, including patient information and insurance coverage.

The Scheduler works closely with other departments and external facilities to coordinate appointments and ensure optimal use of healthcare resources. Additional duties include maintaining records, coding charges, and performing clerical and administrative tasks. The Scheduler also ensures timely receipt and compliance verification of medical orders and may assist with departmental charge audits.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)

  • Experience in a medical office setting (preferred)

  • Knowledge of insurance verification (preferred)

  • Familiarity with Cerner scheduling software (preferred)

  • Understanding of medical terminology and basic anatomy

  • Basic computer proficiency

  • Prior scheduling experience (preferred)
