Laborer - UTK Athletics - TEMP

Under direct supervision, the Laborer will assist with the maintenance of the buildings and surrounding areas associated with Athletics.

• General cleaning, including but not limited to, offices, lavatories, waste/recycle removal, and public areas.
• Special projects and other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: 
• Ability to be active for 8 hours of walking.
• Ability to stand, lift, and have good balance.
• Ability to read, write, and follow oral/written instructions.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Able to do the following: high dusting, vacuuming, wet mopping, trash removal, stairwell cleaning, snow shoveling, window washing, lavatory cleaning, etc.
• Ability to work weekends, home football game dates, and have open availability.
• Valid Driver’s License

 

Preferred Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED. Vocational or technical training. 
• Experience: 3-5 years of work experience.
• Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: 
• Understanding of chemicals, supplies, and equipment.
• Ability to stand, lift, have good balance, and lift 50 lbs.
