Purpose/Description

The Facility Technician 1 will provide routine custodial cleaning and upkeep of the Jail Facility daily. Duties include cleaning of restrooms and furniture, including sweeping, mopping, buffing, and vacuuming of the floors and daily collection of trash including the cleaning of the grounds and parking lot.

Required Tasks

• Performing specific custodial activities to maintain the cleanliness of designated areas for residents, staff and visitors.
• Sweeping, scrubbing, buffing, and waxing floors.
• Cleaning rest rooms, collecting trash, cleaning windows, glass, mirrors, dusting, polishing and shampooing carpets.
• Handling the general upkeep and maintenance of the facility.

Educational Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED
