The Generalized Agents and Incubations team is a fast-moving innovation group within Microsoft Security, focused on building agentic AI systems that generalise across tasks, tools, and domains. Responsibilities
- Build and experiment with GenAI models and agentic workflows, contributing to the development of intelligent security solutions.
- Collaborate across the stack, supporting backend services, model pipelines, and frontend interfaces for agentic systems.
- Prototype rapidly, iterate on ideas, and contribute to incubation efforts in a startup-style environment.
- Work closely with senior engineers and researchers, learning best practices and contributing to production-grade AI systems.
- Stay curious and engaged, exploring emerging AI technologies and bringing fresh ideas into the team’s innovation pipeline.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering and machine learning development.
- Experience contributing to full-stack development or working with cloud infrastructure (Azure preferred).
- Proficiency in Python and familiarity with frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Exposure to GenAI, LLMs, or agentic systems through coursework, projects, or internships.
- Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
