  • Lead and oversee all customs brokerage operations throughout Malaysia, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery.
  • Take full P&L ownership of customs brokerage activities, including revenue, cost control, and profit performance.
  • Build and maintain strong communication with suppliers, internal departments, and external clients to ensure aligned and transparent operations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex operational disputes and address stakeholder concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Work closely with internal support teams (e.g., finance, legal, IT) to ensure seamless execution of customs services and continuous process improvement.
  • Drive sales growth by expanding current customs brokerage services and securing new business opportunities to increase market share.
  • Contribute to and support the preparation of RFQs, quotations, and business proposals related to customs brokerage solutions.
  • Create and deliver tailored presentations to potential clients, clearly communicating service offerings and value.
  • Control and optimize operational costs to meet budget targets while improving service efficiency and quality.
  • Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and financial reports for customs-related functions.
  • Provide leadership and strategic direction to the customs team, ensuring both short-term goals and long-term growth strategies are met.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop team members, including identifying and preparing future leaders to ensure team continuity and success.
  • Ensure strict compliance with Malaysian customs regulations, trade laws, and internal company policies.
  • Design and implement effective customs brokerage solutions, including adoption of relevant IT systems and digital tools for improved performance.
  • Participate in strategic planning efforts at both national and regional levels to enhance the brokerage functions contribution to the business.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a management role within customs, logistics, or a related field.
  • Good knowledge of customs clearance, trade compliance, and international logistics.
  • Understanding of supply chain principles and market trends.
  • Familiar with financial management and global business practices.
