Engineering Manager, Google Kubernetes Engine Networking

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
• 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role; overseeing projects, with 2 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, a technical related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3 years of experience working in a changing organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a software development team.
• Contribute in all activities of software development, including ideation, MVP definition, design, delivery by building, designing, evolving, and scaling Kubernetes Networking solutions to meet current and future needs of GKE Platform, adapting to changing requirements and new areas of growth.
• Establish clear objectives, resolve problems into manageable milestones, and ensure timely, high-quality project delivery.
• Promote software development practices with a focus on code quality, testing, and operational excellence.
• Collaborate with product management, cross-functional stakeholders, and senior leadership to define the team's roadmap, align it with organization initiatives, drive strategy and new initiatives.
