We're currently looking for a Food Cashier that will have experience in scheduling, overseeing a team and other important responsibilities for this epic role!

 

Position: Food Cashier

 

Full-time: 40 hours per week. Eligible for benefits after 3 months. If you are relocating from another province, please ensure you have AB Health coverage to be covered by our plan provider.

Availability: Weekdays and weekends- mornings, afternoons, and evenings.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers and respond to customer questions

  • Schedule shifts and ensure adequate team coverage at all times

  • Oversee and direct daily activities of a dynamic team 

  • Manage inventory and ordering of products to ensure stock levels are maintained

  • Participate in the hiring process including interviewing and onboarding new team members

  • Train and mentor new staff to ensure high performance and excellent customer service

  • Ensure accurate processing of sale transactions

  • Bag and assist with carrying out purchases

  • Complete cash-up procedures

  • Assist in setting up and maintaining merchandise displays

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager

 

Qualifications:

  • Exceptional attention to detail and quality

  • Outstanding customer service and communication skills

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Team player with the ability to work independently
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; some heavy lifting is required

  • Applicants must be over 14 years old (Employment Standards mandates a permit to employ a person aged 14 or under, thus disclosure is required)
