About the Job:

Join Yum! Brands as a Tax Intern, Domestic Compliance and gain hands-on experience supporting our U.S. income tax compliance team while applying your academic knowledge in a real-world setting. This paid, part-time internship (10–15 hours per week) spans the fall and spring semesters and offers a unique opportunity to work on federal, state, and local tax activities.

This hybrid role, based in Louisville, KY, has occasional in-office days, typically Tuesday through Thursday, as business needs require.

This internship is designed to give you meaningful work experience, valuable professional skills, and a strong foundation for your future career in Accounting, Finance, or related fields.

Responsibilities:

Assist with federal, state, and local income tax notice responses.
Help gather tax return information to support third-party service providers.
Prepare federal and state quarterly excise tax returns.
Provide federal and state audit support by gathering tax returns and supporting workpaper data.

Minimum Requirements:

Current college senior or graduate student pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (candidates seeking a commitment longer than one year are preferred).
Strong knowledge of accounting principles (US GAAP).
Excellent organizational and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with accounting software is a plus.
