GENERAL SUMMARY
The Program Director manages and monitors residents residing in Labelle of the Justin’s Place Men’s Program. The Program Director is responsible for supporting the program's documentation and execution, overseeing classes, groups, facilitators, service projects, outside events, transportation, and facilities. Serving as an advocate for all residents, the Program Director helps provide services that will enable residents to walk in faith while learning to fully function independently and within a healthy community. This position will be responsible for the oversight of Justin’s Place Labelle program staff. The Program Director ensures that the overall program plans/goals adhere to St. Matthew’s House mission statement. St. Matthew’s House is a faith-based 501(c)(3) charitable organization that exists to transform lives in a spiritual environment that is both compassionate and disciplined.
ESSENTIAL TASKS
- Promotes discipleship through the development of program plans/goals and evaluates program progress by conducting regular meetings with the program staff.
- Serves as an advocate for Justin’s Place in order to maintain program functionality.
- Helps oversee daily curriculum schedules of Justin’s Place, Labelle (JPL); completes all necessary paperwork for residents residing at JPL.
- Maintains routine program administrative duties, such as (but not limited to):
- Assuring proper transfer of residents in Mission Tracker (MT) from Motivational to Discovery Track.
- Works closely with Justin’s Place leaders in the monthly move of residents from Naples to LaBelle and from LaBelle back to Naples. (temporarily in Naples until completion of hotel renovations)
- Helps in preparing for monthly transitional interviews and distribution of transitional packets.
- Prepares and maintains (via overseeing and delegating) all JPL resident files for accuracy in accordance with all relevant outside entities.
- Manages Justin’s Place Labelle Staff and assists the point person overseeing the Recovery Peer Leadership (RPL) Team.
- Performs performance management annual reviews for all staff under his/her direction and recommends pay increases and improvement plans if and when appropriate.
- Develops and manages annual budget and reports progress quarterly.
- Verifies that resident case notes, comments, and updates are being entered into MT on a regular and accurate basis.
- Collaborates with Agriculture and other work therapy programs to ensure everything flows with the core JPL curriculum and classes.
- Coordinates core morning lectures/classes and makes sure all facilitators are in sync with schedules and each other.
- Generates all incoming JPL module applications and oversees JPL module room rotations.
- Works closely with other staff in coordinating with community agencies that help provide services for JPL program residents: DCF Immokalee, Hendry Regional Medical Center, local churches, area businesses, and local AA meetings, etc.
- Works closely with the Sr. Director and JP Leadership (including RPL Manager) to ensure program compliance.
- Attends community meetings with representatives of other agencies to keep them informed of any changes to the St. Matthew's House program and updates any changes pertaining to the agencies’ services.
- Meets weekly with Justin’s Place team to evaluate and assess the status of program administration.
- Allows for flexibility in job description as other tasks develop within the recovery program.
- Ensures that facilities and fleet vehicles are maintained at a high standard
- Must be able to drive, maintain proper insurance coverage, and have a valid Florida Driver’s License
- Travel is required in this role. This role is required to maintain primary auto insurance minimum liability limits of $100,000/$300,000 bodily injury, $100,000 property damage, or $300,000 combined single limit. Must be an approved St. Matthew’s House driver.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (ministry, addiction recovery, counseling) preferred.
- A minimum of four (4) years’ related experience in social services, addiction treatment, counseling, or related field. Experience working in a faith-based non-profit is a plus.
- CRSS or CRPS is required.
- Prior experience leading a team in a related field is required.
- Knowledge of substance use and co-occurring disorders.
- Thorough knowledge of individual and group counseling techniques and the ability to effectively facilitate groups.
- Understanding of motivational interviewing, brief interventions, counseling, referral, and case management process.
- A demonstrated ability to work with individuals of complex needs and diverse populations.
- Ability to interact positively and collaborate with supervisor, management, coworkers, residents, and the public to promote a team effort and maintain a positive and professional approach.
- Must be able to drive, maintain proper insurance coverage, and have a valid Florida Driver’s License.
- Willingness to adjust schedule, tasks, and priorities when necessary to meet business needs.
