Mater Research are looking for a Clinical Trial Recruitment Officer to join the team! This part time (22.8 hours per week), 12-month maximum term role will be based at our South Brisbane campus.

Salary: $45.76 - $50.05 per hour plus 12% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900  + access to many staff benefits! 

What you’ll be doing

The Clinical Trial Recruitment Officer at Mater plays a vital role in identifying and engaging potential participants for bladder and ovarian cancer studies, collaborating with clinicians, research staff, and patients to maintain ethical standards and support the success of the trial program. Within this role your responsibilities will include:

  • Identify eligible patients for cancer studies through screening and referrals
  • Liaise with clinicians to confirm eligibility and engage participants
  • Approach patients ethically to introduce studies and assess interest
  • Coordinate pre-consent discussions and screening activities
  • Support Clinical Trial Project Manager with various tasks
  • Build relationships with clinical teams for smooth recruitment processes
  • Assist in preparing participant forms and data entry
  • Contribute to ethics submissions and maintain GCP standards
  • Promote Mater's mission and values in all interactions
  • Ensure compliance with safety and IP guidelines
  • Participate in annual reviews and career development discussions

About you

To excel in this role, you will have:

  • Experience working in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder communication.
  • Proficient in Microsoft suite applications.
  • AHPRA nursing registration or relevant Health Science Degree (desirable).
  • Current ICH GCP certification with understanding of clinical trial principles (desirable).
  • Organisational and analytical skills for efficient project management.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with project-specific protocols and standard processes.
  • Fluency in English.
