The role: 

Seymour Whyte is seeking an experienced Senior Contracts Administrator to join the team. In this role, you will support the effective management, control, and reporting of project costs. Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential, as the position involves working with a diverse range of stakeholders and situations.

  • Ensure compliance with Head Contract conditions and integrate relevant terms into subcontract agreements.
  • Manage subcontract tender processes, including evaluation, negotiation, and risk assessment.
  • Communicate effectively with subcontractors and suppliers during tender and contract stages.
  • Prepare, review, and finalise accurate subcontract scopes of work and contract conditions.
  • Oversee subcontractor payments, variations, back charges, and site instructions.

About you:  

  • Relevant qualifications or significant experience in commercial / contracts administration in a principal contractor environment.
  • Expertise in current MS Word, Excel, MS Access, and Outlook.
  • Experience with and understanding procurement and commercial processes and procedures.
  • Experience with and understanding of financial / cost / project management system and processes.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Client Head Contract documents (relevant state authorities).

Many of our projects are located in regional areas, therefore all applicants must hold a current Driver’s License and have their own transport.
