The Opportunity

A Lecturer (Practice) (Level B) / Senior Lecturer (Practice) (Level C) is expected to make solid contributions to teaching and learning within their Department and School. The Senior Lecturer at this level may be appointed in recognition of distinction and/or educational leadership in their disciplinary area. The Candidate is expected to engage in high-quality education and enhancing the student learning experience of the Department and School. The Candidate will play a strong leadership role in educational innovation, curriculum design and review. In addition, s/he will lead and make an outstanding contribution inside and outside of the University, and in engagement with the community and profession, notably in areas related to teaching and learning, and professional activities relevant to the profession or discipline.

The key result areas of Teaching and Engagement are the basis for the primary duties and responsibilities of the role. This position will have a workload arrangement of 80% Teaching and 20% Engagement. Other duties may be required from time to time as directed by the Head of Department and Head of School.

Reporting Line: The position reports to Head of Department.
