POSITION SUMMARY:
This position involves conducting evidence-based psychological assessments including administration of psychological tests and measures and integrating test data with patient history and clinical presentation under the direction and supervision of a psychologist (if applicable). The role also includes conducting evidence-based treatment interventions, primarily cognitive behavioural therapy, for the treatment of anxiety and related disorders, such as obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Minimum Master's level degree in the area of Mental Health including psychology, counselling or psychotherapy, preferably from a degree program centred on assessment and treatment of psychiatric illness (clinical psychology)
• Registered or eligible for registration as a Psychological Associate with the College of Psychologists and Behavioural Analysts of Ontario or Registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario
• Clinical experience in a specialty anxiety clinic
• Training and experience in evidence-based assessment and treatments
• Demonstrated compliance with the ethical and professional practice standards of the profession
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team, to collaborate with community resources and services, and to advocate for the needs of clients
• Advanced oral and written communication skills required for assessment reports
• Possess competency and experience with an appropriate range of psychological tests, measures, and assessment techniques. Possess specific competency and experience in semi-structured and diagnostic interviews (e.g. DART, SCID-IV, Y-BOCS) and specialized anxiety assessment techniques
• Possess competency and experience in the clinical application of psychological knowledge, principles and treatment techniques. Possess specific competency and experience in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and CBT applications for anxiety, OCD, PTSD, and mood disorders.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Some responsibilities include:
• Administers and documents evidence-based psychological assessments for patients at the ATRC using appropriate range of psychological tests under the supervision of a psychologist
• Conducts and documents evidence-based psychological treatments with individuals suffering from psychiatric disorders or other conditions using individual, group or family-based modalities. Assesses outcomes using evidence-based measures
• Participates in multidisciplinary team meetings to assist in assessment, treatment planning, and evaluation of outcomes for patients
• Participates in supervision and training of learners (e.g. interns, psychology practicum students, psychotherapy practicum students)
• Participates in continuing educational activities to maintain and upgrade knowledge and skills in psychology and related healthcare areas
• Other duties as assigned
