Responsible for the monthly closing tasks in accordance with the legislation in force at any time, keeping deadlines. Working closely with payroll and the Corporate team, eTravel & Living administrator.

What you’ll do

• Coordinating the monthly, quarterly, year-end closing tasks (based on the GE GAAP and on the Hungarian Accounting policy)
• Booking compensation and benefit based on the external company data for Hungarian factories, and Renewable businesses
• Booking taxes and accounting of bank payments related to wages, coordination with the HQ team
• Records and bookings of advances and repayments paid to employees. Collection of data on other non - wage benefits, provision of information as required
• Preparation of personal income tax return, accounting of rehabilitation contribution
• Monthly and quarterly general ledger reconciliation
• Ensure financial data integrity, compliance with GE GAAP and Hungarian statutory accounting & tax regulations
• Responsible for account reconciliations for GAAP and for Statutory (V-site, Metem and CSS business)
• Participation in Deloitte, and Internal Audits
• Keep training material update
• Lead key business/financial initiatives and special projects
• Active participation on all training
• Immediately shut down the operation when realized life or serious injury risk present.
• Accounting for cross-business settlement - if a demand arises

What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications)

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university/college in Accounting, Finance or relevant discipline
• Relevant work experience, preferably industrial area
• US GAAP knowledge, minimum as a work experience
• Proficiency both in English and Hungarian (written and oral)
• Excellent knowledge of Excel, MS Office
• Familiarity with Oracle, Business Objects
