Front-office OTC derivatives developer - VP. We're seeking someone to join our Flow Rates Risk team as a Front office developer in FIDCOM. We are seeking strong technologists with core Java skills in a Linux server-side environment. The role will include a combination of long-term strategic application platform development and DevOps strategy from application development team perspective. You will be expected to gain expertise in various components of the trading platform and take full ownership of the components as well as projects requirement solicitation to roll-out.

What you'll do in the role:
- Lead the development of new ideas and/or policies in own area.
- Analyze multiple sets of information to create summaries for various stakeholders.
Primary Responsibilities
- DevOps: Interface with app developers, production support group and QA team to gather requirements and to synthesize technology solutions to meet business objectives
- System platform management/renovation: Gather requirements from front/middle office users to manage capacity and performance of the system and provide technical solutions. Work to comply with resiliency, regulatory and Firm-strategic renovation requirements.
- Software design and development in compliance with software development life cycle standards.
- Project planning, execution and delivery into production environment.
- On-call support duty and regular interaction with QA testing/support teams {D Part 2: Scope of Role What you'll bring pre-set content based on tier framework + role-specific bullets}
What you'll bring to the role:
- Experience in executing IT strategy, delivery and complex initiatives.
- Ability to present information in a clear and concise manner to technology and business leadership.
- Advanced understanding of functional area and competent understanding of competitive environment.
- Skills Required
- Strong architect experience and proficiency in Java in a Linux server-side environment, with emphasis on messaging protocols
- Development experience in object-oriented programming and working with new and legacy systems
- Strong pragmatic problem-solving skills, result-oriented, and can-do attitude
- Excellent communication skills to face front-office business in local business and ability to excel in a global team environment
- Strong leadership skill to run global projects
Skills Desired
- Experience/strong interest in finance industry, and fixed income analytics.
- Experience in functional programming/Scala or willingness to learn Scala.
- Relational databases.
Skills Proficiency
- Senior VP level
- At least 8 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role
