GENERAL SUMMARY
Works under the supervision of Administrative Director. The Manager of Imaging Quality, Safety, and Compliance's primary job function is to recommend, develop, implement, report, and follow-up department P.I. activities. Coordinates department education as it related to Joint Commission, ODH, ACR compliance and SOMC performance standards. Organizes and leads policy review in compliance with regulatory and accrediting agencies. Coordinates department specific compliance with Joint Commission, ODH, and ACR standards. Collaborate with Medical Director, Director and Imaging Manager to gain ACR accreditation where applicable. Serves on multiple committees departmentally and enterprise wide related to quality, safety, and compliance. Coordinates peer review activities and maintains statistical data for Radiologist and Medical staff review for credentialing and Joint Commission compliance. To provide the leadership and management skills necessary to develop, implement, monitor, and coordinate the day-to-day operation for the Medical Imaging Transporters.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

• High School Diploma/GED required

• Graduate of an approved School of Radiologic Technology required

• Associate Degree required

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Medical Imaging field preferred

Licensure:

• ARRT(R)

• Ohio(R)

• BLS within 90 days of hire required

Experience:

Previous Medical Imaging experience preferred. Management experience preferred. Working knowledge of Regulatory Body standards, guidelines, and requirements preferred. Performance improvement training and experience preferred.

JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES AND PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS

1. Coordinates performance improvement activities, facilitates meetings, coaches, and monitors unit specific performance improvement indicators, develops agenda, and approves minutes.

2. Collaborates with management identifying staff education needs internally and organization wide.

3. Develops self-directed learning material and post-testing for regulatory compliance.

4. Maintains documentation of department's inservice activities for Medical Imaging compliance.

5. Reviews Health Device Alerts, acts as warranted and distributes unit specific information as appropriate.

6. Reviews ACR Standards, distributes information as appropriate, and coaches compliance.

7. Reviews ODH Regulatory Guide, develops and maintains a hospital quality assurance program for radiation-generating equipment, coaches and monitors unit specific compliance.

8. Reviews Joint Commission Standards, develops, reviews, and revises administrative policies according to the functional standards. Maintains administrative manual in a manner that references the functional standards by chapter and standard number. Educates Medical Imaging management staff as to the intent of the standards—how we are compliant and collaborate with management team to establish and monitor compliance.

9. Coordinates and performs peer review activities and maintains statistical data for Radiologist and Medical Staff review and credentialing.

10. Monitors adherence to critical value policy and tracks related data

11. Works with Breast Center and other managers to ensure compliance with NABPC standards and NQMBC metrics

12. Performs audits and observes workflows to ensure policy and regulatory compliance.

13. Maintains ACR data registries.

14. Coordinates all physics related activities.

15. Monitor for trends, analyzes data and performs actions plans related to safety, quality and compliance.

16. Performs other duties as assigned
