Role Overview

The successful candidate will support the Regional Head of Brokerage & Accounts Receivable - APAC in the delivery of assigned Business As Usual (BAU) activities, project implementation and developing Subject Matter Expertise (SME).

As the Manager you will direct management responsibility for your respective function.

You will work closely with peers and management in delivering high quality output, working collaboratively across multiple teams and departments, building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You will manage the workflow of the team and be a key relationship manager for both internal and external stakeholders
  • Maintaining high quality, clean data by adhering to a strict governance and controls framework
  • Work closely with business and support function stakeholders on all matters related to assigned tasks to resolve queries and maintain effective and productive relationships
  • Management of project implementation through effective project management with the team and key stakeholders
  • Support cross functional Operations divisions for change implementations on process workflow efficiency and automation or strategic project initiatives
  • Become a subject matter expert through learning the end-to-end process and system functionalities
  • Manage the design and implementation of processes to ensure tasks are documented and to mitigate risk exposure
  • Manage internal and external audit programs
  • Manage the delivery of accurate and timely management information and analysis
  • Ensure the team operates with a high level of risk awareness and understanding of the risk controls  is embedded within the team
  • Establish training programs to ensure a high level of knowledge is embedded in the team and supporting of cross training and the elimination of key person risk
  • Provide leadership, direction, advice and guidance to the team, thus maintaining high levels of integrity, motivation and morale
  • To fulfil any additional/ad-hoc duties as required to meet the needs of the business.

Preferred Experience:

  • Previous management experience – coaching, mentoring, resource planning
  • Relationship building experience, including with senior management
  • Experience working in the financial services sector
  • Experience of using ORACLE Financials/ORACLE E-Business Suite
  • Experience in an accounts receivable environment with experience of credit collection, managing aged debt and cash allocation
  • Experience with working with large data
  • Experience of answering client queries interacting with stakeholders across multiple functions and locations
  • Experience of reporting in a KPI driven environment
  • Experience of processing in a controls environment and evidence of controls process improvement
  • Experience of working in a Corporate/large firm environment 

Skills:

  • Skilled in the use of MS Office applications e.g, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Skilled in ERP applications such as Oracle AR, SAP, etc
