Job Description

The Grant Profit Intern contributes to ONC’s mission of providing nonpartisan news, opinions, and policy solutions by securing funding through compelling grant proposals and targeted research. The Grant Writer Intern is responsible for identifying grant opportunities, drafting and editing proposals, and maintaining accurate records of funding efforts. This intern will work closely with the Nonprofit Fundraising Team Lead but some work will be completed independently. • Ensure all proposals meet funder requirements and are submitted on time

  • Prepare progress reports, impact statements, and renewal requests, and donor communications

  • Build and sustain positive relationships with current and potential funders

  • Stay informed on trends, policies, and best practices in grant writing and nonprofit funding
