Red Bull UK is currently recruiting for a Category Manager to be based in London, UK.
The Category Manager plays a critical role in driving growth and building successful partnerships across key channels, including Bars, Pubs, Clubs, Festivals, Quick Service Restaurants (QSR), Catering, and Vending. This role is responsible for developing and implementing category strategies that enhance the brand's performance, optimize customer collaboration, and deliver value to both the business and its partners.
By using data-driven insights, the Category Manager will influence decision-making, shape product and promotional strategies all with a constant focus on what’s next. The purpose of this role is to drive category performance, align category objectives with customer needs, capitalize on market trends, and strengthen the brand’s position across a diverse and dynamic marketplace.
Job Description
CATEGORY STRATEGY AND DEVELOPMENT
Develop and execute a comprehensive category strategy for the On Premise channels, aligning with the overall business objectives and brand vision.
Analyse market trends, customer behaviour, and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
Create tailored category plans for each channel (e.g., bars, QSR, Festivals) to meet the unique needs of customers and consumers.
CUSTOMER AND STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, acting as a trusted advisor for category insights and strategies.
Work collaboratively with sales, marketing, and trade marketing teams to deliver best-in-class category solutions.
Present data-driven category insights and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders to influence decision-making.
DATA ANALYSIS AND INSIGHTS
Leverage market data, consumer insights, and sales performance metrics to identify opportunities for category growth and product optimization.
Monitor KPIs, including sales performance, market share, and profitability, to evaluate category success and identify areas for improvement.
Conduct regular competitor analysis to stay ahead of market trends and anticipate challenges.
COMMERCIAL PLANNING AND EXECUTION
Lead the development of category-specific promotional plans and activation strategies to drive sales and engagement.
Collaborate with the sales team to implement category initiatives and ensure alignment with customer objectives.
Manage category budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximize ROI.
Qualifications
Proven experience in category management, trade marketing, or a related field, ideally within the On Premise or FMCG sectors.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
Commercial acumen with a deep understanding of category dynamics, channel-specific needs, and consumer behaviour.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
Proficiency in using category management tools, market data (e.g., Nielsen, IRI), and other analytical software.
