Job Summary/Description:

WRDW-WAGT has an opening for a Multimedia Journalist to report 3 weekdays and anchor our weekend AM newscasts. We are looking for the next journalist to join our award-winning news team. Those wanting to be hosts or entertainment reporters should not apply.

Duties/Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

- Enterprise local news stories that impact the community.
- Shoot video and interviews and research information to write and edit video reports that are factual, relate-able, concise, conversationally clear to understand, and overall solid in storytelling.
- Be proficient in operating video camera, non-linear editor (knowledge of Edius a plus), and various newsroom software systems (familiarity with ENPS and digital platform systems a plus).
- Demonstrate strong and comfortable camera presence, including when reporting live in breaking news environments, demonstrate clear communication skills - both oral and written.
- Anchor 2-hour weekend morning newscasts.
- Proofread newscast scripts for accuracy, understanding, and ease of delivery.
- Meet daily assignments, adhering to multiple daily deadlines with accuracy in detail.
- Work efficiently as a self-starter or in collaboration with co-workers.
- Maintain professional appearance with representing the station.
- Take part in community events and station-sponsored projects.

Qualifications/Requirements:

- A degree in journalism, mass communications, and/or related experience in the field.
- Dependable, flexible to work difference shifts as needed.
- Driver's License and safe driving history.
- Positive and competitive attitude.
