WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Franciscan Physician Network is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Cardiologist who specializes in cardiology non-invasive to join us at Franciscan Physician Network Cardiology Crown Point located in Crown Point, Indiana. Interested candidate will join a talented and extensive cardiology team. This physician will provide high-quality medical care by examining patients and treating illness and injury, take medical histories, prescribe medications and orders, performs, and interprets diagnostic tests. This physician will often counsel patients on diet, hygiene, and preventive healthcare.

WHAT WE NEED:

Ideal candidate will have past or present IMCU and inpatient cardiology experience, strong focus on clinical excellence, and patient satisfaction. Candidate will display exceptional interpersonal skills and desire to develop strong ties with the community and existing medical staff. Physician will need to work collaboratively with all physicians and staff members within our Cardiology service line to coordinate and deliver the highest quality of patient care. This position must be knowledgeable regarding diseases, epidemiology and other medical conditions, to interpret symptoms, diagnose conditions, prescribe medication, and develop treatment plans, to ensure the best patient outcomes.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:

  • Manage patient care through appropriate use of available resources.

  • Communicate effectively with patients and family so that they understand their diagnosis, treatment plans, and need for follow-up care

  • Perform the appropriate medical procedures within the scope of the Practice, as defined by the Practice credentialing and privileging processes

  • Maintain and improve skill level through participation in continuing medical education

  • Delegate direct and indirect patient care activities to appropriate personnel

  • Assess patients’ health status systematically and arrives at appropriate diagnosis(as); implement care plan for effective clinical outcomes

  • Maintain and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including all federal, state, local regulations, and accrediting organization standards

  • Communicate the mission, ethics, and goals of the facility

  • Complete patient charting accurately and in a timely manner, in compliance with applicable policies

  • Maintain current Board Certification or eligibility in applicable Speciality(ies)

  • Ensure confidentiality of patients’ records following HIPAA guidelines

  • Represent the organization in a positive and professional manner at all times, whether on or off duty

  • Comply with all organizational policies regarding ethical business practices

Qualifications:

  • Doctorate Required

  • Physician License (DR) - Upon Hire Required and

  • Board Certification in Specialty Discipline (or eligibility if appropriate) - Upon Hire Required

  • Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association Upon Hire Required
