ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking a skilled Merchandise Forecasting Planner to join our global organization and play a key role in the success of our Private Brands. In this position, you will take ownership of seasonal forecasting at the style/color level, ensuring accuracy and alignment across product categories. You will be responsible for reviewing production timelines, monitoring inventory levels, and optimizing sales strategies to meet financial objectives. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented, proactive professional to contribute to a dynamic team while driving results in a fast-paced environment.   WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Develop and manage seasonal buy forecasts at the style/color level for both carryover and new styles to support sales goals and inventory requirements, by analyzing historical sales trends, market data, and performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine the product assortment mix and ensure alignment with merchandising strategies.
  • Assess inventory levels and work with the production team to prioritize orders, including requesting air freight when necessary.
  • Track weekly sales performance and inventory to ensure forecasts align with current trends.
  • Proactively provide recommendations to the buying team on promotional cadence, discontinuing slow-selling items, markdown strategies, and revising future buy plans based on current sales trends.
  • Collaborate with the B2B sales team to understand customer demand, incorporate their estimated needs into seasonal forecasts, and provide guidance on discontinued products.
  • Simplify processes and automate standard reporting; explore and leverage business intelligence tools for reporting.
  WHAT YOU’LL BRING
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in forecasting software, Excel, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI)
  • Knowledge of inventory management principles and practices
  • Experience in demand planning, supply chain management, or a similar role
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with solid Excel skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Microsoft Dynamics AX- ERP system knowledge preferred
  • Organization skills- ability to manage time, prioritize work, meet deadlines, and complete all assigned tasks
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • Proven project management experience, including the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives, meet deadlines, and manage competing priorities effectively
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
  • BS/BA Degree - Business, Supply Chain Management 
WHERE YOU’LL WORK HYBRID – The Best of Both Worlds Have the flexibility to work on-site/in the business and remotely during the week. You’ll spend a few days a week in our office for collaboration/in-person engagement and have the flexibility to work from home on other days. While on-site, join other team members in the spacious Quad for lunch or enjoy our ongoing activities. Employees are expected to be online and available during the core business hours for their team.
