Platform Engineer (Developer Experiece)

The Engineering Enablement team at Ebury is seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to contribute to our mission of empowering developers and optimizing our engineering platform. You will play a hands-on role in building, improving, and maintaining the tools and workflows that enable our engineering teams to deliver high-quality software efficiently and securely.Why Ebury?

Responsibilities:
- Using feedback and data analysis, identify and address developer pain points to enhance the overall developer experience.
- Focus on designing, implementing, and maintaining self-service provisioning solutions that utilize Golden Paths. These solutions should accelerate development while upholding security and compliance standards.
- Design and implement platform solutions that reduce cognitive load, automate repetitive tasks and improve operational efficiency.
- Design, automate, and optimize CI/CD pipelines and workflows, ensuring fast feedback and reliable automated deployments for product teams.
- Produce clear, actionable technical documentation, templates, and guidance to empower engineers.
- Work closely with Engineering and Platform teams to address inefficiencies and deliver impactful solutions.
About you:
- Demonstrable experience in building and operating platforms focused on developer experience.
- Experience gathering and analyzing developer feedback and translating it into platform improvements.
- Familiarity with modern developer platforms (e.g., Backstage, Internal Developer Platforms, developer portals).
- Proven experience with cloud-native architecture and infrastructure (AWS), prioritizing usability and developer self-service.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform) and best practices in infrastructure automation.
- Strong background in designing and optimizing CI/CD pipelines and developer workflows (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
- Experience implementing observability and monitoring solutions (e.g., Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry).
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Commitment to a transparent, inclusive, and respectful work culture.
Nice to have:
- Experience in the FinTech industry.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
- Familiarity with security and compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA, SOC 2, GDPR, DORA) is a plus.
- Knowledge of UX principles applied to developer tools.
- Contributions to the Developer Experience community (blog posts, talks, open-source projects).
- Experience mentoring or leading cross-team technical initiatives.
