Overview
This role exists to enable and enhance the financial capabilities that support restaurant cash management and treasury operations, ensuring that financial systems are aligned with the evolving needs of the business. As part of a collaborative and cross-functional team within Digital Transformation & Technology, this role contributes to the broader mission of delivering scalable, reliable, and insightful financial solutions that support both domestic and international restaurant operations.
The work involves partnering with senior leaders, financial stakeholders, and technical teams to shape and deliver solutions that improve cash flow visibility, streamline treasury operations, and support strategic financial decision-making. The scope includes supporting systems that impact reconciliation processes and treasury cash management, with influence extending across multiple business functions.
This role requires navigating complex and variable business challenges, often involving legacy systems and emerging technologies. It demands a high degree of autonomy, strategic thinking, and the ability to influence. Success in this role depends on strong relational intelligence, a proactive mindset, and the ability to translate business needs into actionable technology strategies. Responsibilities
- Understand business needs and translate them into clear, actionable functional and technical requirements that guide the development and enhancement of financial systems.
- Analyze and evaluate current business processes related to cash management, treasury, and accounting; identify areas for improvement and recommend innovative solutions.
- Act as a subject matter expert for the systems and platforms that support restaurant financial operations, including those related to bank account management, cash flow, and reconciliation.
- Collaborate with financial stakeholders and technology teams to shape and deliver solutions that align with strategic business goals.
- Lead the development and execution of system roadmaps, ensuring alignment with long-term business objectives and operational needs.
- Partner with cross-functional teams—including software engineers, architects, and business leaders—to implement and support both standard and custom technology solutions.
- Provide leadership on large-scale initiatives, guiding teams through ambiguity and driving alignment across diverse stakeholders.
- Maintain a strong understanding of the financial and operational landscape to anticipate future needs and proactively shape technology strategies.
- Foster strong relationships with internal and external partners to ensure successful delivery and adoption of solutions.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, or a related discipline, or the equivalent experience
- 3 years of experience
- Demonstrated ability to understand business needs and translate them into functional and technical requirements.
- Proven ability to act as a subject matter expert for systems and products.
- Proficient in writing SQL queries
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a demonstrated capacity to evaluate business processes and identify areas for improvement.
- Ability to quickly learn and comprehend technical systems and translate business needs into functional and technical requirements.
- High level of personal and relational intelligence, with the ability to build trust and influence across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Demonstrated leadership and collaboration skills, with a track record of guiding cross-functional teams through complex initiatives.
- Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and making decisions in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and experience working in dev/ops or iterative development settings.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 5-7 years relevant work experience
- Strong knowledge and/or experience with accounting systems, including those related to restaurant sales, cash management, and reconciliation.
- Experience with UX/UI design principles and tools.
- Familiarity with cloud-based platforms and tools, particularly in financial system contexts.
- Exposure to or experience with product ownership or product management responsibilities.
- Proficient in a modern scripting language, such as Python
