Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. Job Description
Want to work with one of America's most loved and trusted brands? The TODAY Digital team is a force of creativity, imagination and collaboration. We're currently looking for an eager and creative Digital Video Producer to join our video team. This person will report to TODAY's Senior Video Producer and will be responsible for shooting, editing and producing premium digital video for TODAY platforms.
This position is represented by the NewsGuild-CWA.
Responsibilities:
- Produce, write, script, shoot and edit original premium social and digital videos with TODAY talent and experts.
- Own the entire end-to-end of the camera set up, lighting and independently shooting this content.
- Rough and/or complete edit these videos from start to finish on Adobe Premiere.
- Work alongside talent and celebrity guests to produce franchises in coordination with the social team.
- Coordinate with producers on show teams, site programming, and marketing when there are original digital and social videos tied to broadcast and big events.
- Collaborate on new and innovative video and social projects to bring in new audiences for TODAY.
- Use analytics to see how our platforms are performing against KPIs and brainstorm ideas to help reach new audiences to meet those goals.
- On certain occasions, attend in-person events to shoot and edit video from the field.
- Effortlessly communicate day-to-day tasks across the newsroom.
- In free time, help prep evergreen social assets and videos and larger projects.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience working in original video and/or social video content
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Expert videographer and video editor, comfortable working independently and creating digital video content from start to finish.
- Comfort and expertise working with several camera types – Canon, Sony
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere, Photoshop and social in-app editing tools
- Fluent in the culture of social media and what resonates with audiences on social, particularly TikTok, Instagram and emerging social media platforms
- Comfort being an independent self-starter, but also part of a multi-location, multi-time zone team
- A strong understanding of analytics, and the ability to provide informed feedback on content performance
- Comfort and confidence working with on-air talent, celebrities and high-profile guests

- Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
