About the Opportunity

As a FIAT Operation Senior Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing fiat currency transactions on a worldwide scale. Your expertise will ensure the accuracy and efficiency of daily settlements and reconciliations, while swiftly resolving payment-related challenges to maintain seamless financial operations.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Manage customers' fiat currency deposits and withdrawals on the exchange platform, ensuring seamless movement of funds in and out of the exchange
• Reconcile daily fiat balances between the exchange system and bank accounts
• Resolve customer inquiries related to payment processing
• Analyse and highlight exceptional items related to settlements and collaborate with cross functional teams and banking partners to resolve the issues in a timely manner
• Support future development efforts by testing new product offerings
• Provide performance reports and analysis with metrics for assessing performance and improvements
• Support the accounting team with reconciliations and other payment-related activities
• Review settlement operations and suggest areas of improvements and automations

What We Look For In You

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• At least 6 years of experience in payment operations, preferably in cryptocurrency, banking, payment services, or fintech industries
• Proficient in financial reconciliation and accounting principles
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large data sets
• Excellent problem solving skills and ability to work under pressure
• Familiarity with AML/KYC regulations and compliance procedures is a plus
• In-depth understanding of MiCA and MFSA regulatory frameworks
• Knowledge of EU payment systems such as SEPA, iDeal, and Bancontact is essential
• Self-starter with strong organizational and prioritization skills; able to work both independently and collaboratively
• Willing to step in and support team members during peak times, emergencies, or unexpected absences—demonstrating a proactive and flexible approach to cross-regional collaboration and business continuity
• Proficiency in English, written and spoken
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment; prior experience in people management is a plus.
