As an Engineering Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in the field of engineering while contributing to real-world projects within our organization. This internship offers exposure to various engineering disciplines, enabling you to apply your knowledge and skills to address technical challenges.
Major Responsibilities:
- Project Support: Assist engineering teams with ongoing projects, contributing to research, design, development, testing, and documentation efforts.
- Data Analysis: Collect and analyze data related to engineering experiments, tests, or simulations, and present findings to the team.
- Design and Prototyping: Participate in the design and prototyping of engineering solutions, creating drawings, models, or prototypes as needed.
- Technical Documentation: Prepare technical reports, documentation, and manuals related to engineering projects and processes.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, technicians, and project managers, to achieve project goals.
- Problem Solving: Identify and address technical issues, troubleshoot problems, and propose solutions under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Learning and Development: Proactively seek opportunities to learn from experienced professionals, participate in training sessions, and acquire new skills in engineering disciplines.
Education and Experience:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, OR a bootcamp in a related field
- 2+ years of professional or academic project experience in engineering or software-related roles preferred
- Enrollment in or completion of programming language courses such as TypeScript/JavaScript, PHP, and Python, with backend experience in Node, PHP, and Python
- Bonus Skills: Familiar with web development frameworks (React, Angular, Node.js) and relational databases (SQL), and knowledge of version control systems, software development tools, and software testing frameworks (Cypress, Playwright, Jest)
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills
- Excellent collaboration and communication abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Detail-oriented with focus on writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code
- Ability to adapt to agile, fast-paced environments and manage multiple priorities
- Eagerness to learn and contribute with a strong passion for engineering and software development
