The Position
The Recruiting Operations Manager is a core member of Roche’s global Recruiting Area of Practice (AoP) and the PSS GCS organization leadership team, which contributes to strategic topics and drives operational delivery of recruitment across the responsible areas. This role builds and leads high-performing, networked, and agile recruiting teams aligned with the company’s People & Culture operating model & Strategic Framework, as well as the business needs. You will actively contribute to the strategic vision and direction of the AoP and continuously seek opportunities for innovation and value creation. You are accountable for providing a close link to our customers, prioritizing work within the responsible areas and elevating local needs to the REC Enabling Team based on strong cultural and business understanding. This role will contribute to ensure consistent approaches within Switzerland, Germany, and the EMEA region and will foster harmonized processes.
You will inspire and coach Recruiting Team Leads, build skills and capabilities to drive people development for the AoP and a high performing Recruiting AoP.
You provide leadership to ensure department objectives and goals are achieved. You will create and implement tactical plans. You are accountable for all employment decisions for department staff including hiring, training, development, performance management and progressive disciplinary actions.
The Opportunity:
As the Recruiting Operations Manager, you will:
Serve as a trusted advisor, translating global strategies into actionable recruitment plans.
Design and execute diverse regional recruiting strategies that focus on speed, quality, and equity.
Drive operational excellence by aligning with standardized global processes and local requirements.
Lead, coach, and inspire Recruiting Team Leads to build capabilities and grow talent.
Develop an inclusive culture that fosters collaboration, autonomy, and psychological safety.
Partner with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to meet talent and hiring goals.
Oversee capacity planning, operational forecasting, and headcount management.
Leverage data and systems to optimize recruitment processes and decision-making.
Drive adoption of agile ways of working and champion continuous improvement initiatives.
Lead recruitment efforts for complex or critical senior roles when business needs demand.
Who You Are:
We’re looking for someone with:
Prior experience in senior-level recruitment and partnering with senior leaders.
Leadership experience, including managing leaders or teams.
Proven ability to translate business strategies into analytical and effective recruitment plans.
Expertise in full-cycle recruitment, workforce planning, and strategic talent initiatives.
Strong leadership capabilities, including leading through change and inspiring innovation.
Ability to build cross-cultural relationships and navigate multicultural, complex environments.
Strong analytical thinking, with fluency in using data and technology to make decisions.
Experience managing recruitment within shared services or global service delivery teams.
Exceptional organizational and communication skills, with proficiency in English.
A strategic and creative mindset, combined with operational rigor to meet organizational goals.
