Alvotech óskar eftir að ráða áhugasaman og metnaðarfullan sérfræðing til að fást við þróun og mælingar á líffræðilegri virkni lyfjaefna (e. Potency & Binding). Í þessu hlutverki munt þú vinna í samhentu teymi við mælingar á lyfjum í þróun, ásamt aðferðarþróun og gildingu á aðferðum til að mæla virkni líftæknilyfja á lifandi frumur og bindingu þeirra við viðtaka í lausn.

Ábyrgðarsvið:

• Framkvæma bindipróf án frumna með próteinum.
• Framkvæma lífvirknipróf til greiningar á lífefnafræðilegum hliðstæðum.
• Viðhalda skipulögðum og nákvæmum rannsóknaskrám og sjá um birgðastjórnun.

Hæfniskröfur:

• Háskólagráðu í líffræði, lífefnafræði eða skyldum greinum á sviði lífvísinda.
• Reynslu af því að vinna með lifandi frumur og/eða þekkingu á ELISA aðferðum ( er æskilegt en ekki krafa).
• Hæfni til að tileinka sér nýjar aðferðir og sýna frumkvæði, drifkraft og nákvæmni í starfi.
• Góða félagsfærni og hæfni til að vinna bæði sjálfstætt og í teymi.
• Sjálfstæði, aðlögunarhæfni og jákvætt viðhorf.

We are looking for a motivated Scientist to join the Potency & Binding team within the Analytical Research and Development (ARD) department at Alvotech, Reykjavik. In this position, you will be a part of an agile team with the focus on analyzing samples, development and validation of analytical methods to measure the biological activity (potency and binding) of our products.

Scope and responsibility:

• Conduct cell-free binding assays with proteins.
• Perform bioassays for biosimilar sample analysis.
• Maintain lab records and manage inventory.

Qualifications:

• University degree in Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field.
• Experience with ELISA and bioassay analysis software is beneficial.
• Hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and positive attitude.
• Quick learner with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
