About The Role:
As Kyriba continues its ambitious pursuit of growth, building a sophisticated communications team is mission-critical. The VP, Chief Communications Officer is responsible for crafting and enhancing the company’s global communications strategy - both externally to build brand reputation as well as internal stakeholder engagement ensuring alignment to key business objectives. Reporting to the CMO, this person will be a strategic partner and trusted advisor to the CMO, CEO and other cross-functional executive committee (XCO) members, crafting compelling growth narratives and ensuring our market story supports valuation objectives. The CCO leads all aspects of internal and external communications, crisis management, media relations, executive communications, and brand – ensuring cohesion with Kyriba’s mission, vision, and values.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develops and drives a comprehensive, integrated communications strategy to support business growth and reputation, reducing silos and bottlenecks, improving cross-functional collaboration, and establishing clear escalation paths for time-sensitive communications.
Builds and leads a high-performing global communications team, fostering a culture of collaboration, creativity, and accountability.
Manages the corporate communications team consisting of public relations, crisis communications, reputation management, analyst relations and internal communications.
Oversees all internal communications, ensuring clear, consistent messaging and engagement across all levels of the organization.
Leads the development and execution of CEO and executive communications, providing strategic counsel and ensuring consistent, high-impact executive messaging
Oversees the Kyriba brand and video teams, responsible for developing and delivering the creative strategy, ensuring quality and consistency of our creative output across various media allowing for unified campaign execution with stronger market impact.
Develops and monitors metrics to assess the effectiveness of communications strategies and campaigns.
Partners cross-functionally to ensure message alignment and support for broad organisational initiatives (e.g., ESG, M&A).
Advises the executive team on communications best practices, issues management, and emerging communications trends.

Education, Experience and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
15+ years of progressively responsible experience in communications, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.

Demonstrated impact developing and executing global communications strategies.
Proven ability to manage crisis communications and sensitive issues with discretion and sound judgment.
Experience as a company spokesperson and with PR and media relations.
Strong leadership, team-building, and project management skills.
High degrees of emotional intelligence, adaptability, and executive presence.
Global perspective and experience managing communications across multiple channels, regions, and cultures.
Knowledge of digital communications, analytics, and emerging technologies.
Preferred Attributes:
Experience in SaaS, Financial Technology or similar environment
Proven relationships with internal and external stakeholders, investors, analysts, etc., including executive leadership, media, and industry influencers.
