As the Aftermarket Program Manager (APM), you will be the driving force behind a customer’s aftermarket success, ensuring alignment with our organization’s strategic objectives. In this high-impact role, you will orchestrate cross-functional collaboration, manage complex interdependencies, and proactively mitigate risks to deliver sustainable program value. Acting as a matrixed leader, you will oversee spares and repair deliveries, negotiate and execute commercial contracts, resolve customer and supplier technical challenges, and spearhead new business opportunities—positioning both our customers and our company for long-term success.
Ideally, this position will be based at our Rockford, IL site. Will consider preferred candidates based at other locations.
What You Will Do
Act as the single point of contact, for all aftermarket topics, with the value stream leaders, senior leadership, and external customers.
Define the program’s vision, goals, strategy, and success metrics, and drive improvements to customer scorecards (OTD, TAT, cost of ownership, reliability, etc.) and financial goals (sales, EBIT, inventory, etc.).
Ensure program readiness, through RLPM, on aftermarket items, such as: developing and maintaining sustainment plans, leading sustainment and ARB reviews, customer satisfaction reviews, and supporting all gate requirements and deliverables.
Ensure the program delivers long-term value, through root cause corrective actions (via the CORE operating system), strategic alignment, and innovative solutions.
Align projects with business objectives and stakeholder expectations, and autonomously manage dependencies, timelines, and resources.
Foster cross-functional collaboration, by leveraging influential leadership, with various stakeholders: Customer Support Managers, Contracts, CSRs, Quality, Planners, SIOP, Master Schedulers, Repair, Technical Publications, Distribution, Operations, etc.
Communicate status, risks, and progress, to executives and stakeholders.
Lead or support various internal meetings and reviews: aftermarket program, integrated project team, customer satisfaction, development, operations, demand, strategy, and sales forecasting.
Lead customer presentations and spares delivery reporting, such as PMRs, status, and plans, and support executive customer meetings and presentations.
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience.
Qualifications We Prefer
Working experience managing large, cross-functional programs with matrixed teams, including supply chain, operations, engineering, contracts, and customer support.
Background in aerospace or similar manufacturing environment with direct exposure to aftermarket support, sustainment, or MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul).
Experience with root cause corrective action and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., CORE, Lean, Six Sigma).
Experience in a customer facing role is desired

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
