Customer Technical Service (CTS) is seeking an Associate Director, Customer Technical Service with primary responsibility for the International Aero Engines (IAE) V2500 engine.

This position reports to the Chief Engineer of Customer Technical Service. The V2500 CTS Associate Director will lead the V2500 CTS team, represent CTS on the V2500 IPMT and in various IAE specific processes, resolve technical issues, and manage technical communications with customers. Close coordination is required with the V2500 Program Chief Engineer, Program Office, CIPT's, regulatory authorities, field service representatives, Customer Support managers, and airlines.

What You Will Do:

The CTS Associate Director responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Completion of IPMT objectives and other tasks related to this position.

  • Plan and implement complex and comprehensive projects to provide technical and logistics support to operators of the V2500 engine.

  • Provide specialized technical service and logistics support related to the introduction, maintenance, modification, operation, overhaul, repair or inspection of customer's in-service engines.

  • Define and implement fleet management plans for significant in-service issues.

  • Meet CTS metrics including on-time delivery of technical solutions, AOG resolution, and event investigation.

  • Manage (directly and indirectly) the performance and development of a team of nearly 30 CTS employees

  • Manage direct charge and overhead budget.

  • Coordinate and work closely with engineering and other groups to resolve design, service or support problems.

  • Review major new or changed designs to determine and make adjustments for impact on operations, equipment and requirements.

  • Define configuration standards or logistics support requirements for customer's in-service equipment.

  • Review performance and reliability data and the effects of operating and design variables, recommending changes, as appropriate.

  • Set the standard for CTS communications with customers, suppliers, associated manufacturers and repair shops, other Pratt & Whitney units, and regulatory or industry authorities.

  • Approve the release of major technical communications documents.

  • Participate in planning annual customer conference and act as co-host throughout the event.

  • Good interpersonal skills and communications skills are essential. Experience in managing people and knowledge of P&W Customer Support structure and practices is preferred. Experience in dealing with commercial airline customers is important. Experience working in a multi-national partnership framework is a plus.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering with 12+ years of Engineering experience, or 10+ years with an advanced degree

  • U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

The salary range for this role is 147,000 USD - 295,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
