Room Service Supervisor 

About the role: 

The Room Service Supervisor supports the management team in overseeing aspects of the Room Service department and Speyside Cafe.  The Room Service Supervisor must ensure the consistency, quality and efficiency of food and beverage service and amenities for the hotel’s guest rooms and suitesThey also assist the Room Service Assistant Manager with training and supervising the IRD Servers and Coordinators. 

Reporting to our Room Service Assistant Manager and responsible for supervising the day-to-day operations for the In Room Dining Department in the absence of the Assistant Manager. 

To work to ensure the consistency, quality and efficiency of food and beverage service and amenities for the hotel’s guest rooms & suites and to follow the wishes and preferences of our guests. 

What you will do: 

  • Supervise the room service team members and operations and acts as a team leader in the Room Service department. 

  • Monitor phones, orders, deliveries and pickups to ensure guest satisfaction and employee support. 

  • Conduct shift briefings and standards tests ensure staff are properly trained and follow Four Seasons standards and safe food handling. 

  • Review and approve any comp or voids to ensure accuracy and ensure all glitches are posted accurately and timely. 

  • Handle complains professionally with the guest and help to recover from those situations. 

  • Possess the ability to work autonomously and exhibit excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. 

  • Assist IRD managers and help them to achieve the projects that are given to the department.  

  • Proficient in computer systems. 

What you bring: 

  • Minimum 1+ year previous experience in a food and beverage environment, in a luxury hotel setting preferred. Previous experience in Room Service is desirable but not required. 

  • Requires excellent leadership skills and the ability to motivate and challenge a diverse team. 

  • Knowledge of food & beverage service and supervisory experience is preferred. 

  • This role has direct contact with guests and as such, good communication skills are a necessity.  

  • Fluency in English is required for this location and this job requires applicants to have current work authorization in the in the United States.  Ability to speak Spanish preferred.

Schedule & Hours: 

  • This is a full-time position.   

  • A successful candidate will have the ability to work morning, afternoon, and evening shifts, weekends, and holidays.
