Student Assistant - Finance, Stillstrom (Early Careers)

About the Role

Are you a motivated master’s student looking to gain hands-on experience in financial operations within a fast-paced startup environment? Stillstrom is seeking a Student Assistant to support our growing finance function. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with senior finance leaders and contribute to the development of financial processes, tools, and reporting standards.

This role offers approximately 20 hours of work per week with flexible scheduling, making it ideal for students balancing academic commitments.

Key Responsibilities

As our Student Assistant in Finance, you’ll work closely with the Senior Finance Business Partner and CFO to support key financial activities. Your work will span grant applications, internal reporting, data validation, and business case research. You’ll also help improve financial tools and ensure smooth execution of core finance processes.  Additionally, your responsibilities will include: 

• Assisting with monthly and quarterly reporting, including cost allocation checks, data validation, and payment documentation.

• Supporting day-to-day finance operations, from purchase order creation to invoice matching.

• Helping maintain and improve internal reporting tools.

• Contributing to grant application processes, including report preparation and payment requests.

• Conducting research on national and international non-dilutive funding opportunities.

• Supporting business case development through data analysis on pricing trends, technologies, and market insights.

Who we are looking for

• Currently enrolled in a Master’s program in Finance, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Business, Economics, or a related field.

• Solid understanding of core financial principles.

• Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.

• Skilled in data analysis, with the ability to interpret and present data clearly.

• Previous experience in finance / accounting / procurement roles is a strong plus, but not mandatory

• Proactive, curious, and eager to learn.
