JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

 

Ensures the security and safety of all Commission Administration employees, and Commission assets as assigned. Perform security and safety verification for all visitors, vendors, and Gaming Commission personnel entering and exiting the Gaming Commission, escorts vendors while on Commission property. Monitor and record activity occurring via Closed Circuit Television, routine foot patrol of the Gaming Commission building.

 

Working in conjunction with Backgrounds and Licensing and the Commission Compliance department, provides a physical presence while Commission personnel perform various tasks dealing with Gaming Commission functions. Including but not limited to; Background and Licensing, Banned Patrons and Commission Board Licensing Hearings.  Must be able to have a CJIS (Criminal Justice Information) Certification. Maintain Fire, Life and Building Safety Training files for the ACGC Department and Master Training lists for ACGC Employees. Works with the Sr. Director of Administration to ensure OSHA Safety procedures are being followed. Update fire, life and safety maps and distribute throughout the ACGC

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned)

 

  • Works with local police, fire, or emergency medical teams as necessary
  • Removes individuals from the Gaming Commission Building when directed by a Gaming Commission Board member, Executive Director, Deputy Executive Director or the Sr. Administrative Director.
  • Must have the ability to keep confidential information regarding all Gaming Commission information and internal functions.  
  • Ensure and coordinate annual testing on fire, life and safety equipment; e .g. risers, Gaylord, fire extinguishers, fire panel, etc.)
  • Maintains order and re-supply first-aid stations and other fire, life and safety equipment. 
  • Ensure safety inspections throughout property are completed as required.
  • Perform mandated CPR, AED and First Aid training.
  • Member of Risk Management Committee.
  • Must adhere to all Tribal Ordinance, Regulations, and the ACGC System of Internal Controls, and Standard Operating Procedures.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

 

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 2 years of advanced education or combination of advanced education and law enforcement/security experience.
  • Must be able to pass an extensive background check
  • Required to obtain Security Guard Registration Card within 90 days of employment.

ACCESS TO SENSITIVE AREAS AND INFORMATION

 

Multiple Areas including Backgrounds and Licensing and any area of the Gaming Commission jurisdiction.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS

 

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to stand, move and work throughout the office area and, including walking, climbing stairs and sitting at a desk/workstation for the duration of the shift.  Must be able to work in a smoke-filled environment. Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions to include extreme heat and cold weather. Will be housed in an office environment.  Must be able to grasp, bend, lift and/or carry or otherwise move goods weighing a minimum of 50 lbs. on an intermittent basis, and sufficient dexterity of hand in order to use office equipment including, but not limited to: a computer keyboard, calculator, general office equipment and multi-line telephone.
