Role

SME role in performing end to end Accounting, transfer agency activities in Private Debt

Performs consulting role as a liaison between Team and key stake holders. Acts as a primary reviewer performing reviews of different activities within the business

Core Competencies and Skills Required

  • Understanding of day to day operational activities of trade settlement & private equity.

  • Liaison effectively with team members, internal groups and external counterparties

  • Demonstrate through examples /evidence analytical ability, problem solving, day-to-day task management  and escalation of issues

  • Good Accounting and trade settlement, trade lifecycle of a private debt knowledge is a must

  • Self-starter with the ability to function independently in a fast-paced, dynamic and demanding environment.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks under extremely time sensitive conditions.

Major Duties and Key Responsibilities

  • Establishes and develops plans that are thorough, realistic, and effective in meeting goals; Incumbent will be responsible for managing available resources and work allocation.

  • Responsible for maintaining high standard of accuracy and timeliness for all deliverables.

  • Shows a sense of urgency; drives to closure; persists despite obstacle; strives to achieve results; pursues challenging goals and works hard to achieve them.

  • Must have strong subject matter expertise along with thorough understanding of VPM & WSO application

  • Performing quality assurance checks on information received internally from other supporting functions.

  • Maintain accounting system, reviewing all fund transactions and reclassifications of journals.

  • Handling client, audit and internal queries and acting as face of the process.

  • Coordinate with operational teams, internal groups and external counterparties to resolve discrepancies in a timely and efficient manner; also ensure full and proper reporting to the manager of any operational issues.

  • Coordinating with the onshore team on Migrations, working closely  with Managers for on-boarding new transitionsSupport the daily processing for Loan securities including Private Debt loans, Direct Lending loans, Club loans, Broadly syndicated loans (BSLs). E.g. Term Loans, Revolvers, Delayed Draw Term Loan

  • Proactively and accurately identify incoming agent notices; process all life cycle events for portfolios containing multiple asset types.

  • Process trade corrections and manage pre-settlement confirmation process for all types of private loan securities, including debt, equities, and bonds, traded in international markets.

  • Resolve fails with Clients/Loan Agents

  • Collaborate with Loan Administrators to interpret, problem-solve and to help better understand loan related information to resolve exceptions.

  • Communicate clearly and efficiently with agent banks to confirm and obtain loan notices.

  • Manage all monthly activities by providing clients with portfolio positions, posting transactions, and delivering information to Fund Accounting teams.

  • Effective investigation and reconciliation of breaks and established escalation process

  • Monitor trade capture process and upload trades to the FIS VPM Platform.

  • Communicating effectively with internal partners, clients, and auditors, tailoring information to audience as required.

  • Create and maintain process flows and control tools to accommodate new business needs.

  • Assist managers in business development, client specific reporting / analysis request and special projects.

  • Act as a back-up for Team Lead and manage the work in his/her absence

Skills / Experience

  • Loan administration and private debt financial security instruments experience

  • Knowledge / Experience of the Private Debt trade flow

  • Knowledge / Experience of FIS VPM application

  • Knowledge / Experience of WSO

  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain high standards when dealing with tight deadlines, high volumes and demanding trading desks and clients.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • A team player, taking ownership for own role while contributing to wider team efforts.

  • Knowledge of custody, securities lending, prime brokerage, market trading practices and position processing treatment

Education and Qualifications:

  • Master / Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.

  • 7 - 10 years of work experience in a Private Equity / Fund Accounting

  • Experience in trade settlement/ Private Debt

Eligibility

  • 24 Months as a Technical Coordinator /Associate Consultant to move as Consultant 

  • Movement within TL and Consultant Level will be 12 months
