JOB POSITION

Carelon Global Solutions India is seeking a Software Engineer.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY

Design scalable and resilient database architectures across multiple cloud providers.
Implement replication, sharding (especially in MongoDB), and clustering strategies.
Optimize schema design for performance and storage efficiency.
Analyze slow queries and optimize indexes in MySQL and MongoDB.
Use tools like mongotop, mongostat, MySQL Enterprise Monitor, or Percona Toolkit for real-time monitoring.
Set up alerting and dashboards using datadog, or cloud-native tools.
Design and automate backup strategies using tools like mongodump, mysqlpump, or cloud-native snapshots.
Implement point-in-time recovery and test DR plans regularly.
Manage user roles, access controls, and encryption (at rest and in transit).
Ensure compliance with data regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) across cloud environments.
Audit logs and implement anomaly detection for suspicious activity.
Automate provisioning, scaling, and patching using scripts (Python) or tools like Terraform.
Write custom scripts for log rotation, health checks, and failover handling.
Manage database services like AWS RDS, Azure Database for MySQL, or MongoDB Atlas.
Monitor and optimize cloud spend related to storage, IOPS, and data transfer.
Evaluate trade-offs between managed services and self-hosted deployments.
Participate in Terraform code reviews for database-related changes.
Provide on-call support and incident resolution in 24/7 environments.
