JOB SUMMARY:
Join our dedicated team as a Talent Consultant for Academic Operations where you’ll play a critical role in welcoming new providers across the Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist system and the Wake Forest University School of Medicine. This hybrid role includes both remote and onsite responsibilities, allowing for collaboration and connection.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for facilitating onboarding processes, and ensuring a smooth transition for new hires. You’ll provide valuable support and guidance to new hires and departments regarding onboarding procedures, while also developing and extending employment contracts/agreements. This position requires independent judgment to prioritize and manage a dynamic workload, ensuring that every detail of the onboarding process aligns with our commitment to excellence.
Essential Responsibilities:
1. Primary Source Verification: Independently conduct and verify all necessary documentation, including pre-credentialing forms, educational transcripts, NC medical licenses, DEA certifications, and other key employment verifications.
2. Onboarding Coordination: Ensure a seamless experience by organizing all pre-employment screening, scheduling, and orientation tasks.
3. Employment Agreements: Prepare tailored clinical employment agreements in collaboration with departments and Recruiters, following defined agreement criteria.
4. Records Management: Oversee both electronic and hard-copy employee records, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
5. Data Analysis and Reporting: Generate and analyze monthly reports using r platforms to provide insights into recruitment, onboarding, and staffing metrics.
6. Relationship Management: Maintain positive client relationships with department leaders, new hires, and other key stakeholders to address questions, solve issues, and support smooth onboarding.
7. Compliance and Documentation: Prepare files for external agency reviews (CMS, TJC, etc.) and assist with credentialing compliance.
8. Process Improvement: Monitor and evaluate business processes impacting workflow and provide senior management with recommendations as needed.
9. Other Duties: Support the team with additional tasks and projects as assigned.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Associate’s degree and one year of relevant HR or recruiting experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
• Experience in a hospital or academic medical center setting preferred.
• Experience with provider onboarding is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
• Excellent communication skills, with an ability to effectively liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
• Exceptional organizational, planning, and prioritization abilities.
• Persuasive and influential, with the ability to achieve desired business outcomes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Oracle Cloud and Workday is preferred.
LOCATION REQUIREMENT: Candidates must be local, residing within a 30-mile radius of Winston-Salem, NC. This is a hybrid position, requiring both remote work and onsite presence as needed.
