Project Engineer - Electrical

As a Project Engineer, you will support the planning and delivery of solar farm projects from start to finish. You’ll make sure works are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Working closely with project managers, engineers, and site teams, you’ll help drive safe, efficient, and sustainable outcomes.

This position is based in Brisbane, and the successful candidate will need to live locally or be willing to relocate to the Brisbane area.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Review and approve designs to meet Australian Standards
• Develop solar farm and BESS electrical designs
• Prepare specifications and assess supplier proposals
• Support consultants and check compliance
• Contribute to tenders with preliminary designs
• Provide site and construction support
• Review testing and commissioning results
• Ensure compliance with standards and Grid Codes
• Manage risks and deliver quality designs
• Collaborate across teams and suppliers
• Promote high technical standards and business growth

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in project engineering
• At least 5 years’ experience in solar farms, BESS, or power generation
• Strong time management with planning, scheduling, and budgeting skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Experience using project management software and tools
