Red Hat’s Always Ready RHEL team is looking for an Associate Software Engineer to join us in the development of Log Detective. In this role, you will join a senior engineer developing Log Detective, an AI system improving the building and testing experience of RHEL components.
What you will do:
- Communicate and collaborate with teams at Red Hat located across different time zones
- Participate in team meetings and review proposed pull requests from other colleagues.
- Work on issues proposed and drafted by the senior engineer.
- Research software components that could fit Log Detective
- Create and maintain supporting documentation.
- Work closely with stakeholders and users
- Prepare the data set for AI training.
- Test various models for our tools.
- Create our own model based on our data.
What you will bring:
- Be comfortable with the Python programming language.
- Experience with using containers for development and production is a big plus.
- At least fundamental knowledge of Large Language Models.
- Experience with llama.cpp framework and OpenAI API is a big plus
- Proactivity and the ability to collaborate with other team members and effectively solve issues
- Competence in troubleshooting and debugging complex system issues.
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
