IT Intern

• Develop custom applications and reports in various tools – such as Oracle APEX and Orbit Analytics – enhancing user experience and satisfying additional business needs to supplement the company’s main ERP system, Oracle EBS
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, security policies, and best practices
• Perform quality control testing and code migrations
• Collaborate with supervisors, business units, and resource unit leaders
• Contribute to IT related projects that drive business value for Howmet 
• Participate in the development, implementation and deployment of new systems, new information technologies, and information solutions
• Support and enhance existing systems and information technologies
• Learn the location & company’s standards, procedures, and technologies
• Consult and interact with Howmet’s global business customers and company user groups to gather requirements and to solicit feedback on the success of delivered products
• Do analysis, design, system development, and life-cycle methodologies
• Translate customer business requirements into technical solutions identifying key deliverables
• Hands-On work with tools used in the extended Oracle EBS System footprint
• Follow departmental processes, procedures, and produce required documentation
• Work independently, directly with customers, as well as work group
   

• Currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor’s degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or other related IT field.
• Proficiency in using basic IT tools and software
• Demonstrated internship, work, research, or extracurricular participation
• A willingness to learn and take initiative to understand the business
• Involved with at least 1 extracurricular activity
• Previous internship in Information Technology with a global employer
• A willingness to take initiative to understand the business
• Aptitude for problem solving
• Project experience with IT tools or procedures
• Previous experience or knowledge of Reporting Tools
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS for front-end Web Development
• SQL proficiency - writing queries and debugging
• Ability to manage projects and working within a team in a fast-paced environment
• Leadership and strong decision-making skills
