Our Role:
This is a part time (7 hours per week) post which is open to University of Edinburgh PhD students only.
This is fixed term for 12 months in the first instance.
The salary for this post is Grade 4 £23,296 pro rata per annum.
Your skills and attributes for success:
- Strong technical background in one of the following disciplines: life/medical sciences, physical sciences, engineering or business disciplines, creative industries, ideally, with hands-on experience in one of the following areas: synthetic biology, chemical biology, biotechnology, diagnostics, drug discovery, medical imaging, therapeutics, regenerative medicine, stem cell biology, digital communications, software, renewable energy, microelectronic devices, big data, sensors, new materials, process engineering, chemical engineering, catalysts, petrochemicals, animal and human health/wellbeing/nutrition; art or business copyright licensing.
- Strong interest in translational science, intellectual property and technology transfer;
- Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate confidently and professionally with academic staff and industry partners. Competence in Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook;
- Creative and independent thinker with a demonstrable track-record of taking on new challenges; and
- Detail orientated, with strong organisational and time management skills
